This stunning gate leg dining table was recently hand-crafted in England from solid oak and imported directly to our store here in Atlanta, GA. The dark oak has an extremely well developed grain and is really a sight to behold. The wood has hand-finished and hand-polished for a high-quality look that is unquestionably a step above other dining tables of this style. There is a banding of yew wood bordering the top of the table which compliments the dark oak quite nicely. The light/dark wood contrast brings out the finer qualities of each wood type in addition to giving this table a lot of character and unique style. The legs of this table are turned and look exquisite. They are joined by a series of stretchers which ensure that this table will be strong and sturdy for a long, long time. As stated in the title, this is a gate leg style table, meaning it as a hanging leaf on each side which is supported by legs that swing out from the central base, like a gate. Raising or lowering the leaves couldn't possibly be simpler, as all that is required is to pull up/lower the leaf, swing the leg in/out of the base, and then rest the leaf! This table is solid oak, and is very heavy. Overall, the condition of this table is excellent as it was newly crafted only a short time ago.
