Discount Antique English Oak Gate Leg Dining Table Pie Crust Edge

Antique English Oak Gate Leg Dining Table Pie Crust Edge

Product Description
This gorgeous antique oak gate leg table was crafted in England around 1920. The dark oak looks beautiful, with a lovely patina, a lustrous complexion and a striking grain. The barley twist turned legs are also as elegant as they are sturdy. Because this is a gate leg table, it would make a perfect side or hall table when not fully opened, but when the need arises, at 4 1/2 feet long, this piece would make a great dining table for up to four people. A unique feature to this table is that the edge is scalloped, or as some call it, pie crust.Like most English-made furniture, this gate leg table boasts the highest quality, so it remains as sturdy now as the day it was made. The namesake gate legs also operate very smoothly and provide firm support to the swinging leaves. This table has, however, developed a small split in the middle of the top (shown in the top of the close up of the grain picture). This is cosmetic only, it does not affect the structural integrity of the table but does add some character to the piece.Dimensions: 54" wide x 42" deep x 28.5" high see details
